In the spring of 2018, I wrote a post about (pardon my potential misuse of a football reference) calling an audible. Well, it’s nearly two years later, and I find myself in a similar place: wanting to edit a few of the year’s goals in addition to lacking even a basic understanding of sports terminology. So here’s what I’m planning on changing:
It was a night like so many others in that I decided to kill some time by shopping with my sister, Abby. I had only been back in Western New York for a few days and was working hard to readjust to the slower pace of a rural town. In such a place, a fantastic way to spend an evening is to go to the nearest Walmart or Target.
When I graduated from high school, I thought that there was one activity that I would never have to participate in again: gym class. I figured that it was a battle that I would have to fight in middle school alone, and I was convinced that I had left the sweaty, always-picked-last activities were behind me. I realized that this was not the case as I discovered that I would have to take my school’s form of a gym class during my second semester of college.
If you read my last post you may recall that I have had some minor issues as I attempt to start learning how to ski. I had gone to multiple ski shops only to find that no one would adjust my ski bindings. All of that changed yesterday when I took my skis to a new shop. I was quite distrustful of ski shops at this point, so I had made sure to call ahead and confirm that they did in fact have the bindings I was looking for and that they would install them for me. So I entered the shop with the same wariness that a shark attack survivor has when going swimming.
